Now, thanks to a new device that comprises a TV camera attached to a tube, a 10\u2019\u2019 TFT monitor and a battery fitted to a basic wheelchair, disabled visitors can view showcases and other museum objects regardless of the height at which they are displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The camera can be operated from the wheelchair, which incorporates a screen and a zoom function that offers close-up and long-range views of captured images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chair also features a table for visitors to transfer from their own wheelchair to this one. Those who cannot change wheelchairs will have the&nbsp;<strong>chair-cam<\/strong>&nbsp;in front of them, so that they can see the showcases on the screen, which can rotate 180\u00ba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to information from other museums in Catalonia, ours is the only museum with such a device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The Chair-Cam is an original idea by Joaquim Sanz i Balagu\u00e9, former director of the Valent\u00ed Masachs Geology Museum.
