Metamorphism

The geological process of metamorphism, which signifies transformation, is presented in two display cases in a way that invites learning. This process is responsible for many of the rocks that we use, such as marble in the decoration of buildings and statues, shale to cover roofs, quartzite as an aggregate for roads, and so on.

You can learn how nature transforms clay or certain calcareous rocks into the aforementioned rocks by the effects of pressure and temperature over a period of millions of years.
