Igneous and Sedimentary Rocks

This display case shows the most representative samples of igneous and sedimentary rocks.
Igneous rocks are divided into three groups: plutonic (formed at great depths due to the cooling of the magma), subvolcanic (formed at an intermediate depth) and volcanic (formed almost at the surface).

The samples of sedimentary rocks include rudite, arenite, lutite, dolomite, evaporite, calcareous, silicic and carbonaceous rocks.

Soon, an interactive screen will give detailed information on each of the rocks exhibited, including how they were formed, the minerals of which they are composed, their uses and how they are processed.
