COLLECTIONS

A part of the bottom of the museum is formed by different collections that have come in the shape of legacy or donations.

The most notable collections are:

Josep Lluís Serch i Valls (1983), formed by approximately 100 minerals, basically of Andalusia and Estremadura, of great geological interest.

Carles Curto i Milà (1991), formed by 216 minerals of the whole world of an extraordinary quality and of great mineralogical interest.

Josep Closas i Miralles (1997), legacy constituted by 2300 minerals and rocks with pieces of good quality, some of great rarety and others of geological – mineralogical interest.

Jaume Serrate (2002), set of 1200 minerals, with samples of many beauty and others with great didactic interest, used habitually in class.
